RapidDry™ Boards are reusable moisture-control drying boards designed specifically for floral preservation and pressed flower artists. Engineered to accelerate the flower pressing process, these boards help draw moisture away from botanicals quickly and evenly—supporting faster, more consistent drying results.
Think silica gel, in sheet form, without the mess.
Unlike traditional paper-only pressing methods, RapidDry™ Boards enhance moisture transfer within your press system, helping flowers dry more efficiently while maintaining structure and detail.
Product Details

Recharge / Drying Instructions
When RapidDry™ Boards are fully at capacity (fully saturated), they can be recharged and dried for reuse—similar to recharging silica gel.
- Oven method: Place boards in a low oven at 200°F (93°C) for 20–30 minutes, or until fully dry. Do not exceed 225°F (107°C).
- Microwave method: Use short bursts on low power (about 10–20 seconds at a time), checking frequently to avoid overheating.
- Hairdryer method: Use medium heat and keep the dryer moving evenly across the board until dry.
Allow boards to cool completely before returning them to storage or reuse.
Typical Drying Times
Drying time varies depending on flower type, moisture content, thickness, and preparation method.
- 🌸 Loose petals: approximately 1–3 days
- 💐 Small blooms / prepared flowers: approximately 3–7 days
- 🌿 Thicker or high-moisture flowers: may require additional drying time
For best results, flowers should be properly prepared and arranged in a single, even layer.
How to Use RapidDry™ Boards
RapidDry™ Boards can be used in multiple layering systems depending on your pressing style and materials.
Method 1: Standard Pressing Stack
Board → Flowers → Foam → Board → Flowers → Foam
A balanced layering method for consistent pressure and moisture absorption.
Method 2: Cotton Sheet Method
Board → Thin cotton sheet → Flowers → Thin cotton sheet → Foam → Board
Helps gently separate delicate petals while allowing moisture transfer.
Method 3: Paper + Cardboard Method
Board → Flowers → Printer paper / blotting paper → Cardboard → Board
A traditional-style setup enhanced with RapidDry™ moisture control.
Why RapidDry™ Works
Traditional flower pressing relies on paper alone to absorb moisture slowly and inconsistently.
RapidDry™ Boards are engineered to improve this process by enhancing moisture transfer and distribution throughout the pressing stack, helping flowers dry faster, more evenly, and with better overall preservation results.
Care Instructions
Because RapidDry Boards actively absorb moisture, proper storage is essential.
- Always store in an airtight container or sealed bag when not in use
- Vacuum-sealed bags are recommended for maximum performance protection
- Store in a cool, dry, low humidity environment
- Do not leave exposed to open air for extended periods
- Do not airdry. Boards will continue absorbing moisture from the environment
- If exposed during use, return to airtight storage immediately after handling
- Keep pressing system materials stored in a sealed or airtight environment during drying cycles when possible
Proper storage helps maintain consistent performance and extends usable life.
Important Notes
- Thicker, denser, and high-moisture flowers may require longer drying times
- Avoid overcrowding flowers to ensure even moisture transfer
- Best results are achieved with properly prepared, evenly arranged botanical material
- Results may vary depending on flower type, humidity, and pressing method
Please Note
RapidDry™ Boards are a supportive drying tool designed to enhance traditional pressing methods. They are not a replacement for proper pressing technique but a system designed to improve efficiency and consistency in floral drying workflows.
